Description:
Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance via phone and email regarding Microsoft Office, Vertafore and other third party software and web sites. Document technical service requests from incoming phone calls, emails and walk-ins. Prioritize response to calls according
to standards and time of request. Provide support for PC's, servers and network. These duties include configuration, installations and troubleshooting desktop, printer, software and network problems. Provide instruction to users on software. Perform regular maintenance on PC's and upgrade software.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Move, adds and changes - Provides PC's, phones, network connections as needed and installation of equipment.
- Record keeping and updating documentation.
- Check offsite spam, attachment and content filters.
- Primary tech for phone systems for phone systems. Includes setup, programming, maintenance, moves, adds, changes, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain network wiring and equipment including switches and firewalls.
- Maintain professional accreditation necessary to meet agency standards.
- Participate in continuing education programs when available.
- Build and maintain a favorable and professional work relationship with other staff members.
- Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines.
- Adhere to workflow procedures and follow guidelines to reduce the risk of E&O claims.
- Promptly report all E&O claims and potential E&O claims.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be proficient in internet and email applications.
- Must possess a minimum of one year professional experience in technology or help desk function, Microsoft certification and/or A+ certification preferred.
- Must demonstrate networking skills (TCP/IP, routers, switches, hubs).
- Experience supporting Windows server platforms including terminal services, Exchange and Citrix.
- Experience supporting VOIP systems and supporting functions.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with Vertafore a plus.
- Must be flexible and available to work weekend and evening hours as required.
- Works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- High level of organizational ability with attention to detail.
