Encore Talent is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage an enterprise network infrastructure. Your strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, particularly Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), and hands-on expertise in managing network security policies, access control, and identity management will be essential.
Responsibilities:
· Design, configure, and maintain a robust enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
· Deploy, manage, and optimize Cisco ISE for secure access control, identity management, and network segmentation.
· Implement and manage 802.1X authentication, policy-based network access control, and endpoint profiling using Cisco ISE.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security-related issues across a multi-site environment.
· Develop and implement network security policies in collaboration with IT security teams.
· Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
· Provide technical leadership in network design, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), WAN/LAN optimization, and wireless technologies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives, cloud infrastructure, and remote access solutions.
· Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and suggest performance improvement plans.
· Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to the team’s overall development.
· Stay up to date with emerging trends in networking technologies, particularly Cisco’s product line.
Qualifications:
· 7+ years of experience in network engineering roles, with a strong focus on Cisco networking products.
· Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), including design, deployment, and administration.
· Extensive knowledge of network security, including 802.1X authentication, RADIUS/TACACS+, and access control policies.
· Proficiency with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
· Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
· Experience with network monitoring tools and traffic analysis.
· Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or Cisco ISE Specialist are highly desirable.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
· Experience with network automation and scripting languages (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
