Job Title: Senior Corporate Counsel

About Company / Opportunity: We are an established privately owned American company with a global presence that needs a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our growing Legal Team. You will work with our General Counsel to build and improve Legal Department processes, boost efficiency and reduce legal risks.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements (including customer, vendor, third-party, non-disclosure agreements, lease/tenant agreements, real estate transaction agreements, and finance agreements)
- Create and update standard contract templates, and manage/improve the contract management system
- Build relationships and facilitate decisions between the legal team and other departments (e.g. sales, marketing, operations, accounting, HR, risk, IT) to ensure polices are in compliance with laws and regulations
- Conduct legal research on a variety of issues, including HR and environmental issues
- Advise on data privacy and protection, including compliance with international, federal, and state laws
- Develop and maintain data privacy compliance framework and policies
Must-Have Skills:
- 4-10 years of experience at a multi-state law firm or in-house position
- J.D. from an ABA accredited Law School and UT State Bar membership
- Experience drafting, negotiating and a variety of revising commercial contracts and transactional documents
- Knowledge of employment matters, data privacy, and other compliance matters (anti-trust, anti-corruption)
