A growing Aerospace Manufacturer is looking for a Head of Legal to be the sole inhouse attorney. This position will focus mainly on employment law matters including wage and hour compliance, HR issues, and transactional matters. The Head of Legal will report directly into the CEO and have great visibility across the entire C-suite and senior business executives. This role leaves ample room for growth within the organization as they are looking for someone who is eager to learn, expand upon their skillset, and succeed within a supportive environment.
The Head of Legal will be responsible for:
- Advising on employment law regulations.
- Updating and maintaining the employee handbook.
- Counseling on HR matters, overseeing litigation, and advising on corporate protocol.
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts relevant to the organization.
The Head of Legal should have the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree; a member and in good standing of any state bar.
- 3+ years of experience either inhouse or at a law firm.
- Experience with employment law.
