Shift Options:
- First Shift ($21/hr): Monday-Saturday 5AM-3:30PM CST 1 week and Monday-Friday 5AM-3:30PM CST the next! You will be working every other Saturday (one week 50 hours, the next 60 hours)
- Second Shift ($21/hr + $2/hr shift differential - $23/hr): Option 1: Monday-Friday 4PM-12:30AM CST. Option 2: Monday - Friday 4PM-2:30AM CST

- Second Shift: Darien, WI
Assembler Position Overview:
The Assembler position with Medix is a 3 month contract to hire position with a large engine and
generator manufacturer with facilities in Darien and Beloit, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be
responsible for assembling large generators and enclosure systems that are used for backup
power at places such as hospitals and data centers. There will be a 4 week training program
that you will automatically be enrolled in starting your first day where you will learn how to
assemble the units from ground up using hand and power tools. Work will require you to climb
on ladders, use lifts, work with insulation and wear protective PPE (such as Steel Toed Boots) at
all times. The first 4 weeks will be at the Beloit facility.

earn a bonus of up to $6,000.00. There are other incentives including perfect attendance

What you will be doing:
- Complete 4 week training program on generator / enclosure assembly process (full process from base to frame to roof and final assembly.
- Work with hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks including drills, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc. (All tools will be provided for you!)
- Assemble power generator casings both sub assembly and final assembly (including alternators, brackets, flywheels, motor mounts, starters and harnesses)
- After converting to a permanent employee (3 weeks) you will be eligible for continued training and growth into advanced assembly and electrical positions, or even leadership!
- There is a lot of help and training provided, all tools are there for you and a team who is ready to help you succeed!
What we are looking for:
- Experience using hand and power tools (drills, screw drivers, wrenches, measuring tape, gauges) either in a professional setting or at home. Please be prepared to share some examples with us! This is a very hands-on position.
- Comfortable climbing ladders (The generators are tall and require lifts and ladders for roof and high point assembly, all members are required to climb ladders. If you are afraid of heights, this might not be for you!).
- Comfortable working with insulation. We want to be upfront about this! Insulation can get itchy so we recommend wearing gloves and having a long sleeve shirt handy. A special insulation is used that is not as itchy as other types, but please be aware!
- Ability to read a tape measure: DISCLOSURE: You will be given a measuring assessment and have to read a ruler during your interview!
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Manufacturing can be loud, can get hot during the summer and is fast paced! But ultimately there are so many great aspects of the environment as well including a great cafeteria, top of the line facilities and tools and a helpful team!
- Own a pair of steel toe boots. Once you convert after 3 months you will get a stipend to purchase these, but starting this position you will be required to have your own steel toe boots / shoes!
- Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly. There will be lifting!
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods. This is not an assembly line position. You will be standing and moving around so please be aware!
