Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Manager position will manage projects independently, leading teams of over ten on complex multidisciplinary tasks. This role will be planning, scheduling, overseeing budgets, coordinating with finance, and mentoring other managers. Strong leadership and project management proficiency are essential. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $54.72 – $95.73

Responsibilities:
- Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
- Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including budget management, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, risk management, and work execution.
- Resolve schedule delays and conflicts, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Develop and track project budgets, ensuring alignment with cost and resource projections.
- Interface frequently with clients, engineers, related parties, and management to ensure proper progress and focus.
- Develop and manage contracts, maintaining effective vendor relationships.
- Create project schedules aligned with project complexity and size, managing risk, tracking progress, enforcing accountability, and overseeing critical path and float.
- Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.
- Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies for assigned projects.
- Support effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
- Provide outage support, including involvement in the Outage Control Center (OCC).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university and 14 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR AA/AS degree and 16 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of experience in a technical field.
- Advanced degree in a related field of study or business may substitute for two years of experience.
- Commercial Nuclear Experience Required.
- Project Management certification is required.
- Advanced degree in a related field of study or business.
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field.
- RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certificate.
- Construction Management Certificate.
- Extensive experience as a direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry, focusing on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
- Experience in nuclear plant operator production coordination and work management for plant production.
- Proficient in error reduction, human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies.
- Experience managing complex projects, on-line work management, or refueling and forced outage-related activities.
- Advanced project management techniques in Commercial Nuclear Power Plants or similar facilities.
- Supervisory experience.
- Member of an industry committee or experience leading internal audits or assessments.
- Skilled in project management and budget process software.
- Ability to evaluate organizational, personal, technical, and maintenance programs, procedures, schedules, and cost performance.
- Knowledge of code and regulatory requirements related to operations, construction, maintenance, engineering, and project work activities.
- Proficient in procedures and processes related to operations, construction, maintenance, engineering, and project activities.
- Skilled in software programs such as Passport and MS Office programs.
- Demonstrated ability to acquire and successfully apply new job skills or knowledge, contributing to career path progression and business needs. This may include rotations to different organizations, external industry experience, and diverse roles within or outside the nuclear industry.
- PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) is required.
- Active certification required.
