The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Human Resources function. This includes strategic planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and organizational development. The HR Director will work closely with senior leadership to support the company's goals and ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Provide insight and recommendations to improve HR policies and procedures.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational culture.
- Oversee the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop job descriptions, post job openings, and conduct interviews.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and create hiring plans.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Implement and manage employee recognition and retention programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through communication and conflict resolution.
- Design and manage performance appraisal systems.
- Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and career development.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and address workplace issues, including harassment and discrimination claims.
- Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs to ensure competitiveness.
- Conduct salary surveys and market analysis to maintain a competitive compensation structure.
- Lead organizational development initiatives, including succession planning and change management.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in HR management, with a focus on strategic planning and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
