Project Overview
A leading retail company in the Mid-West has been live with the complete Workday HCM suite, including Advanced Compensation, for 5 years. They are seeking a highly skilled Workday Advanced Compensation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support their year-end compensation process. This is an exciting opportunity to provide critical expertise to streamline the company's year-end compensation planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Year-End Compensation Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday Advanced Compensation processes, including merit, bonus, and equity award cycles.
- Lead the configuration and execution of compensation plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Perform system assessments to ensure accuracy in compensation processes and troubleshooting issues.
System Configuration and Testing:
- Oversee the setup, configuration, and testing of year-end compensation events.
- Provide expertise in updating existing compensation plans, and making necessary adjustments for business needs.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with Total Rewards, HR, Finance, and other relevant teams to gather requirements and ensure the Workday system supports their compensation objectives.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams on compensation best practices in Workday.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with Workday Advanced Compensation.
- Proven experience supporting the year-end compensation process for a Workday HCM client, preferably within the retail industry.
- Expertise in configuring merit, bonus, and equity plans within Workday.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to address complex compensation-related issues.
