Contract to Hire
Our client company is seeking to find a professional Commercial Construction Superintendent that would assist with a major municipal project valued at $6-8M in the Greater Boston area. The position starts as a contract consultant and will eventually lead to a direct hire role.
Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Overseeing field personnel and subcontractors, daily/weekly schedules, and construction operations.
- Supervise and schedule subcontractors, and other miscellaneous commercial construction crews daily.
- Schedule all facets of rehabilitation for a big single project (two sites).
- Take an active role in emphasizing safety, quality, and production.
- Coordinate crews, equipment and materials and other job-related activities to maximize efficiency.
- Protection and enhancement of public relations, company image, and company’s worth.
- Have a working knowledge of all required plans and specifications.
- Timely completion of assigned operations while staying within budget.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in supervising commercial construction projects. (Ideal 10+ years)
- Demonstrate positive decision-making skills and the ability to rehab commercial buildings in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in a high-production environment.
- Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced with remodeling municipal buildings a huge plus.
- Degree in construction management or a similar area is desired but not necessary.
- Superintendent’s License (CSL)
