Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the construction and set-up of a new $20M facility in Selma, NC. We anticipate this position to last anywhere from 12 months to 1.5 years. While not required, an ideal candidate would have a Bachelors in Engineering; however, experience with managing full-on construction and post-construction projects for similar facilities in the US is required.
Unfortunately this company is not set up to provide sponsorship at this time and cannot hire anyone on a C2C basis.
Description
- Manage multiple project timelines, resources, and deliverables for a start-up facility, including construction, plumbing, electrical, office set-up, machine installations, facilities maintenance, gas, and more
- Develop in-depth project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Serve as the main US point of contact for all vendors and suppliers while working closely with team in the UK to ensure all deliverables are met
- Communicate with OEMs and suppliers throughout project
- Collaborate with UK team, stakeholders, engineers, and others to ensure project is coming along according to plan and provide regular updates
- Utilize project management software for scheduling, tracking, and reporting
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints
- Ensure project documentation is completely accurate and completed according to deadlines and requirements
- Complete RFPs and purchase orders
- Ensure complete compliance throughout every facet of vendor communication, set-up, installation, and more for various projects
- Work with teams in multiple time zones
- Report to Project Engineer in UK
Qualifications (required)
- Minimum of 3-4 years as a Project Manager for a manufacturing start-up in the US
- Above experience must involve everything from system installs (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.) to assembly line installations to office interior design; those with only one of these cannot be considered
- Above experience must involve dealing with projects, permits, laws, and regulations specifically in the US, as this person will be the only US point of contact for a team based in the UK
- Above experience must be for a project with similar scope and budget
- Must be committed to working through the duration of this project (1-2 years)
- Must be able to work in the Selma, NC area daily
- Must have experience as the main POC for vendors and OEMs for similar projects
- Must be comfortable as the main US POC for this project, while reporting to Project Managers in UK
- PM software experience
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications (preferred but NOT required)
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Plant Engineering, Construction Engineering, etc.)
Pay/Benefits
- $80k-$100k/year for less experience
- $104k-$156k/year for more experience (higher end of that if someone has a degree)
- Contract role but treated as a salaried employee (direct hire contractor with the company instead of through our agency)
