Job Title: Senior Network Engineer, Cloud

Job Summary:
As a key member of the Network Engineering team within the Infrastructure and Operations department, the Network Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability, security, quality, and scalability of a hybrid IT network infrastructure. As a subject matter expert, this role involves collaborating across teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions that meet both operational and strategic objectives.
This is a Remote Regional position, ideally suited for candidates located within the Ohio or boarding states.
Primary Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
• Plan, design, and implement advanced network solutions, including for remote branches, data centers, and cloud environments.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software to meet current and future needs.
Network Security:
• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect infrastructure, data, and applications.
• Proactively monitor for security threats and ensure timely incident response.
Network Optimization:
• Continuously optimize the network for performance and capacity, ensuring reliability and high availability.
• Identify and address bottlenecks or performance issues.
Troubleshooting and Support:
• Provide multi-tiered support to resolve complex network-related issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
Documentation:
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and operating procedures.
Compliance and Best Practices:
• Ensure network infrastructure follows industry best practices and relevant compliance regulations.
• Stay up to date with emerging network technologies and recommend updates accordingly.
Vendor Management:
• Work with vendors and service providers to manage network-related services and procurement.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in enterprise environments managing firewalls, VPNs, routers, and cloud-based networks.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and network automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with cloud repositories and advanced security measures.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Ensure uninterrupted network services supporting all company technology infrastructures.
• Manage network updates, patches, and Layer 1 connectivity.
• Support the onboarding of devices and manage access policies.
Required Skills:
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.
• 5-7 years of hands on network engineer experience
• 3-5 years of cloud experience, preferably MS Azure
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, thinking strategically while managing technical tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in infrastructure technologies are a plus.
