Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Tansitor is currently seeking applicants for a Director of Operations. In this position you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the overall operation of the plant, assuring that manufacturing objectives in-line with the Division’s Strategic Plan are achieved, while complying with quality requirements and State/Federal regulations. This includes working through key managers in Production, Planning, Purchasing, Accounting, R&D, Quality Assurance and Maintenance.

Vishay Tansitor is located in Bennington, VT and is the world’s number one manufacturer of wet tantalum and conformal-coated capacitors worldwide. Tansitor has approximately 100 employees between 3 shifts.
What you will be doing:
- Manage day-to-day activities ensuring that the operation is running efficiently
- Oversee the Operational team, including Production, internal Planning, Infrastructure and Maintenance and other departments, based on Divisional goals
- Establish best operative practices for improvement in efficiency, yield and production output
- Work with internal Planning to uphold appropriate inventory levels, material and labor costs
- Maintain Close collaboration with QA to ensure best in class product quality
- Actively Work with Purchasing to ensure material supply at minimal cost
- Act in close cooperation with the R&D Department from the initial stage of product development to final production
- Meet promised lead-times to preserve excellent customer service
- Expand production capacity, in-line with the Division’s growth plan
What you will bring along:
- B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Mgmt/ Electronics Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of practical experience as an Operations / Plant Manager
- Knowledge of industrial Engineering, QA techniques
- Strong time-management ability and creativity in problem-solving
- Leadership and teambuilding skills to establish best practices and adapt to organizational needs
- Analytical thinker, to address and respond to staff issues for a calm, focused workforce (along with the ability to communicate on an international level)
