Our Client, a leading clean energy organization, is seeking a skilled attorney to work under the direction of the GC. This individual will be responsible for supporting business decisions that comply with local, state, and federal laws.
Responsibilities:
- Support the legal aspects for the company's finance, operations, and various teams/programs
- Review and negotiate energy related contracts, including PPAs
- Provide guidance on legal matters related to the Brown Act, California Public Records Act, employment law, etc.
- Review California Public Records Act requests
- Advise on internal and external compliance
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal experience
- A J.D. from an accredited law school and license to practice law in California
- Experience with contracting, public agency, OR energy law is preferred
- Ability to work well with diverse teams
- Must be able to work on a hybrid schedule out of San Diego
