An established cannabis operator is looking for a Director of Operations to help scale their cultivation and processing facility. This Director of Operations will manage day to day production schedules, labor schedules hiring, mentorship, culture, and orchestrate deliveries & testing.
The ideal candidate will come from large scale production / processing environments (Food, beverage, any type of consumable or agricultural processing background, etc.) Ideally, someone who knows how to manage communication across departments (HR, Finance) and is adaptive and good at coaching/mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Scale and lead daily operations at the cultivation and processing facility
- Manage departments in the facility including growers, HR, Finance, etc.
- Manage P&L and budgets for the operation
- Communicate established KPIs and metrics to senior leadership on a regular cadence
- Manage employee growth and development
- Oversee daily production and cultivation operations
Qualifications
- 10+ years' of professional plant operations experience (food and beverage, cannabis, consumer packaged goods, etc.) in a highly-regulated industry
- 4+ years' experience managing teams of 30+ individuals
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
