Duties
- Select from a range of standard photographic equipment for assignments demanding exact renditions, normally without opportunity for later retakes, when there are specific problems or uncertainties concerning lighting, exposure time, color, artistry, etc.
- Discuss technical requirements with operating officials or supervisor and customize treatment for each situation according to a detailed request, vary camera processes and techniques, and use the setting and background to produce esthetics, as well as accurate and informative pictures.
- Utilize both standard equipment and when need, under close supervision, will utilize special-purpose equipment is used to create “specialized photography”.
- Provide video and photo documentation and editing of a final product for subject events and situations such as employees who are photographed for identification, award ceremonies, interviews, banquets or meetings; external views of machinery, supplies, equipment, buildings, damaged shipments or other similar scenarios that might require visual imagery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Effective communication and customer relations skills.
- Able to interact with customers in English with effective oral and written skills.
- Possess or be able to receive a SECRET Security Clearance. Due to government security requirements, must also be a U.S. citizen.
- Have valid and active driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Air Force culture and protocol a plus.

- Experience with video, still and motion photography.
- Expert knowledge and experience with professional video and still cameras.
- Expert experience with flash-type lighting as well as external lighting sources and how to manipulate it in order to produce desired lighting effects.
- Experience with photo and video editing software preferably Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom & Media Encoder as well as Black Magic Davinci Resolve.
- Strong Video & Photo editing background: Person will need to be able to plan, film, edit or produce video production on a team and/or independently for entire project from start to finish.
- Ability to perform video duplication work, photo scanning and file transfers.
- Ability to photograph and video fixed or moving objects on the ground or in the air.
- Computer system knowledge and familiarity with both Apple and Windows computer systems.
- Ability to solve most problems through consultations with more experienced photographers, if available, or through reference sources.
- Must be able to work independently; solves most problems through consultations or reference sources.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described herein are representative of those which may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in an office environment.
If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
