Job Title: Project Finance Associate

Company Overview:
My client is an International utility-scale renewable energy developer working across, Storage, Wind and Solar and their focused on delivering clean energy solutions across North America. I'm seeking a talented, motivated, and independent Finance Associate to join their growing team. This position will play a key role in supporting the financial operations and development of large-scale renewable energy projects from early-stage development through execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling Evaluation: Assess and improve financial modeling tools to support the evaluation of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Tax Equity and Incentives: Analyze and apply tax equity structures and federal/state-level tax incentives to optimize project financing.
- Project Assessments: Conduct financial analysis and prepare comprehensive project assessments at various stages of development (early-stage through execution).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with lenders and tax equity investors to structure financing arrangements and support due diligence.
- Market Research: Monitor trends and regulatory changes impacting tax equity and renewable energy incentives.
- Risk Management: Assist in identifying financial risks and opportunities associated with different project structures and market conditions.
- Reporting: Prepare financial reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal teams and external stakeholders, including senior management and investors.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in finance, ideally within the renewable energy or utility-scale infrastructure sectors.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Location: Must be able to work on-site.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Knowledge of tax equity, tax incentives, and project finance structures.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
