The Head of Maintenance – should have the following skill set:
- Extensive experience in manufacturing within the dairy or food industry, possessing deep process knowledge.
- Minimum 3 years of senior management experience overseeing technical services, including maintenance, automation, and utilities functions.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in plant manufacturing and maintenance.
- BS/BA or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering, Dairy Management, Food Science, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of MRP and ERP Systems.
- Proficiency in HACCP, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in PLC and logic controls for high-speed operating equipment.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Applied knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
- Ability to plan, develop, and manage manufacturing operations budgets effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to drive significant positive change and achieve substantial operational objectives.
The Head of Maintenance – will:
- Lead the technical services organization, providing direction to both direct and indirect functions.
- Manage all capital plan engineering design and project activities to ensure timely completion, working closely with vendors.
- Develop annual and long-term capital project budgets to support strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with R&D, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and Product Supply teams to achieve plant key performance goals.
- Drive manufacturing efficiency to deliver high-quality products on schedule, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Implement Lean manufacturing practices across technical services operations to optimize efficiency.
- Optimize organizational structure to align with operational objectives and enhance productivity.
- Set and enforce quality measures, preventive maintenance schedules, and performance standards to meet operational excellence goals.
- Lead efforts in employee safety, environmental compliance, and product quality assurance while meeting cost targets.
- Represent facilities in collaborations with state and local officials and industry leaders.
- Adhere strictly to Company safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
