Our large pharmaceutical clients in Spring House, PA is seeking an Associate Scientist to join their growing RNA Gene Therapy and Delivery team within the Therapeutics Discovery organization. This individual will contribute to working on design and characterization of drug candidates based on protein conjugates. They will support multiple projects for the development of therapeutics such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), nucleic acid conjugates (siRNA, antisense, etc.), and peptide/small molecule conjugates. This Scientist will work closely with other team members and will primarily be responsible for conjugation, purification, and analytical characterization of these molecules. They will also be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, and presenting experimental data. Additional responsibilities may include laboratory duties such as instrument and inventory maintenance. Previous bioconjugation experience is strongly preferred but is not required to apply.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of lab-based experience with protein characterization in industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry or related field
- Strong understanding of protein science
- Development of therapeutics such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), nucleic acid conjugates (siRNA, antisense, etc.), or peptide/small molecule conjugates is a plus
Salary: $75,000-$95,000 (flexible based on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Hiring Method: Multiyear contract – After 1 year on contract, the individual will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role or have their contract renewed for another year
PTO: 10 PTO days & 6 paid sick days annually

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
