Responsibilities include:
Meet and exceed company production schedules, quality; safety, and efficiency goals while maintaining and fostering respect and dignity in the workplace
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, assign duties, and establish or study and adjust work procedures and requirements to meet production schedules
Requisition materials required to meet production goals and examine items produced to determine if they meet required specifications, ensure product quality and traceability documentation is complete and accurate, interpret company policies to workers, and ensures safety regulations are followed
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work
crew
Analyze and resolve work problems, and/or assist employees in solving work problems, and initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals and evaluate overall performance, employee skills, abilities, initiatives and their contributions to the department
Maintain time and production records and confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
Supervise machine and equipment set-ups and periodically perform the work activities of employees supervised through training, demonstration and side-by-side assistance to insure that schedules and delivery commitments are met
Train new employees or temporary help in all aspects of the job duties and understand how parts are routed through the completed process, and have the capability to understand how TA's production equipment functions, and explain the functions of the required equipment and tooling.
Qualifications
* 3-5 years' experience as Production Supervisor in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Professional ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Working knowledge of production quality systems and related manufacturing and quality documents. Ability to read scales, micrometers, Vemier calipers, or other product related inspection equipment.
* Working knowledge of inventory software; manufacturing software, electronic time reporting, and spreadsheet software.
