Electrical Drafter/Designer
Our team is seeking an electrical drafter/designer that has experience in industrial building utility and switchgear design. This position requires attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to adapt to customer specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce CAD drawings for building power distribution, lighting, grounding, UPS, and HVAC system designs under the supervision of the Engineering Manager.
- Produce approval and construction document design packages, including floor plans, panel schedules, details, following customer specifications.
- Utilize vendor data and project proposals to create electrical design documents.
- Performs related support tasks such as correcting red-lines, file maintenance, distributing drawings, document transmittals, etc.
- Develop wire tag lists and nameplate schedules
- Conduct site visits, ability to travel infrequently
- Work cooperatively with other designers, engineers, and project managers
- Ability to grow and learn to produce designs and functionality exceeding customer expectations and placing our team ahead of competitors

Qualifications:
- Working well in design teams and coordinating with other disciplines
- Knowledge of change order management and version control
- 1-4 years of electrical building design experience, or 0 years acceptable with Computer Aided Drafting coursework
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Ability to work effectively with both in-house and remote team members
Preferred:
- 3D modeling
- Familiar with National Electrical Codes, energy codes (ASHRAE, IECC), and NFPA Standards
- Familiar with industrial building power distribution, lighting, grounding, UPS and HVAC system design
- Familiar with Autodesk suites
Work Environment:
- Typical office environment with average noise levels and lighting, generally
- Manufacturing facility with above average noise levels and PPE required, occasionally
- Normal M-F, 8hr schedule with remote work on Friday
