Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Policy Attorney to join our legal team. In this remote position, you will play a critical role in navigating complex regulatory frameworks, providing strategic legal guidance, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to health technology. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare law, regulatory processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Advise on federal and state health regulations, including HIPAA, FDA regulations, and telehealth laws. Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory policies affecting the health-tech industry.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement policies that align with regulatory requirements and company goals. Draft and review policy documents, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on emerging regulatory issues, trends, and best practices in the health-tech sector. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external counsel. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on regulatory compliance and legal issues related to health technology.
- Travel: Participate in industry conferences, regulatory meetings, and other events as needed to represent the company and stay updated on industry developments.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory law, preferably in the healthcare or health-tech sectors.
- Strong understanding of health regulations, compliance frameworks, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
