Job Summary: The Investment Analyst will focus on underwriting and managing portfolios of alternative investments. This includes Fund of Hedge Funds (FoHF), private credit, private equity, and other niche investments. The role involves research, analysis, and due diligence to support investment decisions, monitor performance, and optimize returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Analysis:
- Conduct due diligence on hedge funds, private credit, and private equity.
- Analyze financial performance, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
- Develop and present investment recommendations.
Portfolio Management:
- Manage and monitor alternative investment portfolios.
- Perform performance analysis, risk assessments, and scenario modeling.
- Coordinate with teams for risk management and adherence to guidelines.
Market Research:
- Monitor global markets and industry trends.
- Conduct research to guide investment strategy and asset allocation.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and market developments.
Investment Process Support:
- Prepare investment documentation and support senior management.
- Manage relationships with external fund managers and attend industry events.
Operational Support:
- Maintain and enhance internal databases and analytics tools.
- Collaborate with operations for trade execution and fund management.
- Support projects related to portfolio construction and risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in alternative investments or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with financial databases is a plus.
