POSITION SUMMARY:
The Part Time IDS Project Manager is responsible for leading Major and Complex IT Projects and Programs through all phases, including planning, execution, testing, implementation, and closure. This role ensures compliance with strict deadlines and budgets while collaborating with IDS Delivery and Business-led organizations to acquire resources and coordinate project efforts. The Project Manager defines project objectives and oversees quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Significant experience working at executive levels across the organization is essential. Additionally, this position identifies process improvement opportunities and contributes to enhancing project management practices within the PMO function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The IDS Project Manager will:
- Plan, design, and manage multiple major and complex projects and programs.
- Provide regular project status updates to the CIO and Project/Program Steering Committees.
- Define project/program governance in alignment with PMO practices.
- Ensure effective quality assurance and maintain overall project/program integrity.
- Allocate resources and skills effectively within projects/programs.
- Identify and engage project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives.
- Manage the process of gathering, reviewing, and agreeing on requirements with stakeholders.
- Communicate project expectations and progress clearly and promptly to sponsors, steering committees, team members, and stakeholders.
- Conduct critical analysis of project costs and manage the overall budget effectively.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables and control the flow of work.
- Identify risks and implement control actions.
- Address issues affecting project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Define project success criteria related to agreed requirements and communicate them to all involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct lessons learned sessions and create a recommendation report to highlight successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Contribute to the development of methods, processes, and controls, advocating for their application.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of direct experience in Project Management, encompassing all aspects of process development and execution.
- Strong familiarity with project management methodologies, including PMI, Prince2, APM, and Agile.
- Proven experience delivering Agile-based projects is essential.
- Experience working within an Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) structure.
- Systematic thinking to develop solutions that address organizational challenges.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle is desirable.
- IT domain knowledge (e.g., SAP, IT Operations) is a plus but not required.
- Proficient in MS Office and current Internet technologies, including SharePoint.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects/programs on time, with a strong focus on delivery metrics.
- Strong scope definition and management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management and leading diverse, globally distributed project teams.
- Experience working with senior/executive levels in large-scale organizations.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
- Outstanding project management strategy and negotiation abilities.
- Strong risk, action, issues, and decision (R.A.I.D) management skills across all projects and programs.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize workload under tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Effective in a fast-paced change environment.
- Highly numerate with excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
