Hedge Fund Operations Analyst:
Equity L/S fund seeking a Trading Operations Analyst with 2-5 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all trading operations & administration activities.
- Manage OMS & PMS systems to ensure accurate daily P/L reporting and reconciliation with Prime Broker, Custodian, & Administrator systems.
- Performance, regulatory & risk reporting.
- Daily cash & position reconciliations.
- Process corporate actions & dividends.
- Resolve all settlement issues.
- Monitor & manage cash, collateral & margin calls.
- Track & manage expiring futures & options.
- Analyze investment compliance reports and promptly address any issues.
- Contribute to various projects, including regulatory changes, fund launches, and managed accounts.
- Reconcile P/L & NAV valuations provided by the Administrator.
- Prepare & distribute weekly NAV estimates.
- Maintain strong relationships with key counterparties, including Administrators, Prime Brokers, Custodians, OMS/PMS providers, and execution Brokers.
- Assist in preparing materials for marketing documents, monthly newsletters, presentations, & investor reporting.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in an operations role, ideally within an Equity Long/Short fund.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with VBA, SQL, or other programming languages is a bonus.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
