We are working with a luxury resort who is seeking a Restaurant Sous Chef to join its dynamic culinary team and support the creation of exceptional dining experiences for guests. The successful candidate will assist in menu development, oversee kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role involves mentoring junior kitchen staff, managing inventory, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to maintain a cohesive and innovative culinary program.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of three to five years of culinary leadership experience in a professional kitchen, demonstrating a solid grasp of various cooking techniques
- Significant experience working with a grill, including proficiency in techniques like searing and smoking to enhance flavor and presentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork, along with familiarity with kitchen management software
- Valid Food Safe certification is required, with familiarity in Birch Street for inventory management considered an advantage
