Paid Media Director
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Reports to: Head of Performance
Direct Reports: Paid Media Manager (x2), Senior Paid Media Analyst (x1), Paid Media Analyst (x3)
Travel: Occasional US travel
As the Paid Media Director, you will be responsible for leading the paid media department and overseeing all aspects of paid media strategy, planning, execution, and optimization. You will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative paid media strategies that drive traffic, conversions, and revenue for our clients. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of digital advertising platforms and industry trends.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid media strategies aligned with client objectives and business goals, leveraging a mix of channels including but not limited to Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, display advertising, and more.
- Lead the planning, setup, and optimization of paid media campaigns, including keyword research, audience targeting, ad copywriting, bid management, and budget allocation.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and KPIs to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Implement advanced tracking and attribution methodologies to accurately measure the impact of paid media campaigns on client revenue and ROI.
- Manage relationships with advertising platforms, technology partners, and vendors to stay abreast of new features, tools, and opportunities.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the paid media team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment and facilitating professional growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of paid media campaigns with overall marketing strategies.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding paid media strategy, campaign performance, and optimization opportunities, and participate in client meetings and presentations as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new developments in paid media to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation.
- Develop and present strategic recommendations, proposals, and thought leadership initiatives to clients and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- We are looking for a Paid Media expert.
- You should have a proven track record of success in a digital agency as a Paid Media Director (or in a similar role).
- Previous experience working with health and wellness clients, or within a similarly regulated industry, is required.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, along with a collaborative and supportive approach to team management and development, are essential.
- Substantial experience in paid media management, with a proven track record of driving results and achieving business objectives.
- Expertise in digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, display advertising platforms, and others, with advanced proficiency in campaign setup, optimization, and tracking.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and communicate findings effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI preferred.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement in paid media campaigns.
- Google Ads certification and other relevant certifications (e.g., Facebook Blueprint) preferred.
- Strong track record of leading a performance based marketing team, with proven people management skills
