The Product Developer will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of pet products at Petco. This is a temporary position with an approximate duration of 6 months. The primary responsibilities include managing samples, conducting competitive research, and coordinating lab dips.
Responsibilities:
- Manage samples throughout the product development process, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Conduct market research to gather insights on competitor products, trends, and consumer preferences.
- Coordinate lab dips for color matching and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, and production to ensure smooth product development process.
- Assist in creating product specifications, including materials requirements and technical details.
- Monitor project timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in product development or related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using industry software/tools for sample management and project tracking (e.g., PLM software).
- Knowledge of pet industry trends is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
