About the Role: Formentera Operations is seeking a Facilities Engineer for its Dallas, Austin or Midland office. The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the daily management of construction operations including generating planning layouts; engineering designs; procurement; cost tracking; and maintenance programs. The Facilities Engineer works with the Asset Team to ensure timely construction of surface production facilities and maintaining facility integrity through maintenance program oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Design facilities including pad layout planning, vessel sizing, review of P&IDs and electrical schematics
- Create cost estimates for AFEs and budgeting
- Procurement of all vessels, tanks, line pipe and associated facility equipment including bid list and cost comparisons
- Evaluate capacities and constraints of existing equipment and piping systems
- Work with on-site construction supervisors and contractors to ensure construction conducted per Formentera design and production target dates are met
- Review daily construction estimates
- Interface with local utility providers on 3-phase power electrification including working with the Production Engineer on forecasting power load demands
- Collaborate with field operations staff on debottlenecking of existing facilities and maintaining asset integrity through a scheduled maintenance program
- Act as subject matter expert for troubleshooting and facility incident investigations
Key Competencies:
- Microsoft Office suite with expert proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of engineering tools including flow hydraulics and ASME/NACE manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
- 6+ years of Facilities Engineering experience
Physical Requirements:
- This is a sedentary role. The employee is regularly required to talk or listen, and frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and reach with arms. Close visual acuity is needed for viewing a computer, reading, transcribing, and analyzing data.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
- Core Hours of 8:00-5:00 with option of flex schedule (Ex. 7:00-4:00, 7:30-4:30, or 8:00-5:00)
- Availability via teams during core hours outside of lunch (11:30-1:00)
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard
