Join Our Client as a MPD Drilling Engineer Manager!
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Drilling Engineer Manager to join our clients team and oversee all their drilling operations. In this role, you will play a key role in planning and executing drilling activities, with a strong emphasis on incorporating Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) technology into the process. You will be responsible for supporting MPD operations both on-site and remotely from the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the drilling engineering team, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of drilling operations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance for the application of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) technology throughout drilling projects.
- Develop and manage detailed drilling plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
- Work closely with both field and office teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of MPD operations.
- Monitor drilling performance, implementing adjustments and improvements where necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to drilling operations and MPD applications.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical diploma from an accredited institution.
- 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) or drilling engineering.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Field experience in Drilling & Completions.
- At least 7 years of experience in drilling engineering, with substantial experience in MPD technology.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
- Deep understanding of drilling techniques, operations, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Professional certifications or training in drilling engineering or MPD technologies are highly desirable.
