We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Coordinator/Admin Assistant to oversee and manage our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods while optimizing transportation costs and maintaining compliance with regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Hours: Flexible to work any day of the week - 12.30pm to 9.00pm Mon to Sun
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily transportation activities, including scheduling and routing of shipments.
- Monitor and manage the performance of transportation providers, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and logistics operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, procurement, sales) to align transportation needs with business goals.
- Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies.
- Respond to and resolve transportation-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare reports on transportation metrics and present findings to management.
- Assist in the development of transportation policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of strong knowledge of transportation & Administration regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
