Job Title: Customer Service Representative (Temporary Remote)
Location: 12 Harbor Dr, Port Washington, NY (Remote to start with eventual onsite requirements)
Pay Rate:
- English-speaking: $17.50/hr
- French-speaking: $20.00/hr
Start Date: Immediately
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 11:00 am – 7:15 pm
Training: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm for 2 weeks (35 hours per week)
Job Overview:
Russell Tobin is seeking Customer Service Representatives to join our client’s team, temporarily remote, with the expectation of transitioning onsite in the future. Candidates should have experience handling high call volumes, strong computer navigation skills, and exceptional customer service abilities. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in French, are a priority for this role. This position requires adaptability and efficiency in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting the retention of business clients.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to a high volume of inbound calls and process orders.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints by troubleshooting and determining the best resolution.
- Document customer interactions and track call types accurately.
- Maintain high customer service standards and meet support service level agreements.
- Follow up with customers regarding order status, shipping, and stock availability.
- Handle inbound phone calls for up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or hospitality environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to stay composed during difficult customer interactions.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and internet navigation.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education degree.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Previous experience in the optical industry
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
Work From Home Requirements:
- Ability to set up a desktop computer directly connected to the internet (no wireless connection allowed).
- A noise-free work environment with minimal distractions.
- Comfortable transporting desktop equipment and setting it up with written or visual instructions.
