Job Title: HR Generalist
Pay: $30.00 - 33.57/hr | Based on Experience
Duration: 4-months | Potential to Extend
Schedule: Monday – Friday // 40hrs/week
Location: Hybrid | Herndon, VA | 3 Days In Office
Responsibilities:
- Consult, coach, and develop leadership through decision making with empathy and high judgment; collaborate and take action on talent management processes, people development and performance management, compensation, and employee relations issues.
- Foster and role model an environment of inclusion for all Builders.
- Advocate for Builders’ needs through end-to-end experiences that help Builders feel fully engaged in their work and valued for who they are.
- Exercise high judgment, manage through ambiguity, and serve as the first point of escalation for other HR teammates and Builder concerns.
- Support Builder queries and situations with discretion and expertise, navigating company policies and applying high judgment as necessary.
- Actively promote the adoption of technology and self-service.
- Collaborate and influence multiple levels of the organization, ranging from Builders, senior leaders, and other HR professionals.
- Conduct complex workplace investigations with significant autonomy.
- Understand business goals and design and implement new approaches or procedures to effect continual improvements both in the business and on the HR team.
- Perform HR trend reporting; write reports and review data
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in HR, Business, or Psychology; other fields with relevant experience accepted).
- 2-4 years in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- 2-4 years in HR coaching and consulting.
- Performance/Talent management, Consultations, and Workplace Investigations experience.
- Experience in fast-paced environments, tech companies, or retail/generalist roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills and decision-making.
- Knowledge of policy and compensation.
- Attention to detail and effective workload management.
