Experience and expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of engineering, technical and design problems.
- Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
- Thorough, timely, and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
- Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, process development, and performance.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and create substation civil-structural drawing packages (foundations, structural steel, bus and cable) utilizing national code, industry standards and best practices is a plus
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Structural Engineering or related structural design field
- Knowledge of Substation Structural design requirements and standards (ASCE 7, ASCE 113, IBC, etc.) is a plus
- Proficient in structural software RISA, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, Revit
- BSCE degree from an accredited college or university
- It is preferred that the applicant has successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) examination, with plans to complete the Professional Engineering registration.
