In this role, you will oversee financial operations, manage vendor relationships, and work directly with executive leadership to drive business growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including financial statements, board packets, project cost reporting, and audits
- Oversee bank reconciliations, worker's compensation, and 401(k) audits
- Lead a growing finance team and multi-site accounting operations
- Apply for and maintain contractor licenses and ensure compliance with various regulations
- Manage third-party pre-qualification databases and respond to time-sensitive customer requests
- Supervise ERP access and work with third-party IT consultants
- Coordinate relationship with insurance company and surety, including yearly audit and annual renewals
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA preferred)
- Experience in Big 4 Accounting firms and Percentage Completion Accounting preferred but not required
- 8+ years of financial management experience
- Proven training and leadership development experience
- Ability to manage time sensitive projects and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel and financial software
- Demonstrated experience in the construction, manufacturing, or related industries
- Experience managing payroll, preferably for a multistate organization
- In-depth understanding of accounting systems to effectively supervise, educate and support coworkers
