The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for working in close collaboration with the Litigation & Trial Business Development team, key market leaders, and colleagues across BD to support the Litigation & Trial department’s overall marketing and BD goals, while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media. This role will be located in the firm's Washington DC office.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Providing research, analysis, and reports to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of practices, markets, relevant industry sectors, and/or clients as assigned
Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams
Coordinating the research of markets, competition, and conflicts for the department and practice groups to drive strategy
Collaborating with lawyers, BD, and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiatives
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that the firm retains

A Bachelor’s degree
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in marketing or business, preferably
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience within a law firm or professional services environment
A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting litigation practice areas, preferably
