Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and test compliance controls related to consumer deposits and lending regulations.
- Conduct risk-based transaction monitoring activities to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with business units and departments while maintaining appropriate independence in compliance oversight.
- Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of tasks under the Compliance Program, including risk identification and testing.
- Monitor and review policies, procedures, and programs for compliance risks and issue management.
- Work with advisory teams to ensure an effective compliance program is in place.
- Draft formal reports on compliance reviews and track issue remediation.
- Support other compliance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of consumer compliance regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply these regulations during monitoring and testing activities, as well as document findings and observations in comprehensive reports.
- Experience in reviewing and auditing different business units for adherence to regulations related to both deposits and lending.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks at once, especially under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid analytical and critical thinking abilities, with sound judgment in identifying and addressing compliance risks.
- Proactive in identifying potential risks and recommending effective solutions.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively with senior managers and peers.
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster productive collaboration across teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of banking policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance tools like Resolver or other Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
