Plans, manages and directs the work of Production and other manufacturing supervisors. Ensures cost effective, quality production of products according to standards. Requires constant interaction with work group and other departments at the primary work location. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality. Position Responsibilities & Major Duties:
- Develops, plans, manages and directs the work of production and other manufacturing supervisors.
- Ensures cost effective, quality production of products.
- Monitors disruptions and losses due to production.
- Ensures a safe working environment for employees/contractors.
- Participates in the accident investigation process.
- Performs shift supervisory duties when necessary.
- Promotes positive employee relations.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
- Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for reporting food safety issues.
Desired Experience
- 5+ years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience.

- Up to 10% bonus potential on top of salary.
Mobility
- Physically capable of rapid, unimpeded movement to all areas of the plant. Able to crawl under and climb on to machinery and equipment. Able to enter and exit confined spaces.
Sensory
- Ability to view a product for proper size & color.
- Ability to distinguish color coded equipment, operating guides, product codes, etc.
Communication
- Speech and hearing abilities that allow the individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English, and/or another language if required.
- Ability to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.
- Ability to generate written communication and operate required office equipment.
Other
- Must meet/maintain CDC food handling requirements and other governmental and/or customer requirements.
- Ability to research, ascertain, develop, implement and monitor required policies and procedure.
- Ability to work in a 100 degree environment.
- Ability to wear and use approved, applicable safety equipment, as needed.
