Payroll Specialist – Bilingual (Preferred)
MOGEL, a premier recruitment firm, is currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a well-established company based in Phoenix, Arizona. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support payroll operations by working closely with the Senior Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Payroll Specialist with processing payroll, ensuring wages, benefits, and deductions align with federal and state regulations.
- Input and process weekly payroll entries, including wages, paid time off, fringe benefits, pay adjustments, and deductions through payroll software.
- Ensure timely submission of certified payroll for various projects, verifying correct classification and wage rates.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee records and payroll data.
- Process per diem requests, manage Global Cash Card accounts, and track boot and safety glasses reimbursements.
- Handle and monitor child support, garnishments, and levy orders efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Perform additional administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll.
- Knowledge of certified payroll processes is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Additional Information:
- Work Environment: Business casual office setting with occasional travel to additional offices or job sites.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move office supplies or files weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime. Work hours include 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, or 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Travel: Minimal travel required, with advanced notice.
