Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our client's team. This role involves managing multiple production processes, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvements in plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth production.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the performance of production processes.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve production and quality issues.
- Conduct investigations into off-spec production, equipment failures, and process disruptions.
- Manage and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Correlate production data with product quality to ensure output standards are met.
- Mentor and train plant supervisors and operators.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) methods.
- Collaborate with departments such as Quality, Maintenance, and Sales.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting in a production environment.
- Experience managing process improvement projects.
- Familiarity with MOC (Management of Change) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with exothermic reactions, vacuum dryers, and powder packaging operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of unit operations such as distillation and filtration.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 or GMP standards and statistical process tools.
