Our client is a successful A&E firm, and they are currently searching for an experienced and licensed Structural Engineer to lead the structural engineering department. This is a full-time/direct hire opening. Our client has been around since the late 1940’s and has never had a layoff. The average associate tenure is more than 10 years. There are several employees who started their career as a co-op and reached retirement, all with our client.

The current opening is for a Structural Engineering Department Manager. Main duties include:
- Manage and lead the structural engineering department
- Drive employee development through coaching, mentoring, and training
- Lead structural engineering projects across the United States and Canada
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Act as subject matter expert for all structural engineering systems
Qualifications include:
- B.S. in Civil or Architectural Engineering
- Past work experience must have an emphasis on Structures
- P.E. license required
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in structural design and analysis
- Ability to manage and lead a team, oversee and effectively lead the department
- Experience working with structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed metal framing, deep foundations
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
