Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing our financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, including forecasts and variance analysis to guide business strategy.
- Bookkeeping: Manage all aspects of daily bookkeeping functions, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions and maintenance of financial records.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining positive vendor and customer relationships.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Cost Control: Analyze costs and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, bookkeeping, and accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience in the construction or home improvement industry is a plus but not required.
