Are You Ready to Shock the System?
Our Client, a trailblazer in the Utility Electric industry, is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented professional who's as comfortable with AutoCAD as they are discussing pole-loading on a Friday afternoon (because, let's be real, who isn't?). We want to talk if you've got a knack for planning, designing, and working with the utility world. Actually, scratch that – you want to talk to us.
Join a team where your expertise will light up cities, power neighborhoods, and save a squirrel or two from the wires. With hundreds of projects under our belt, we're constantly evolving, expanding, and seeking someone who gets the grid like no other.
The Gig:
Here's what you'll be doing (and yes, it's just as cool as it sounds):
- Be the go-to for designing distribution equipment and infrastructure for power utility projects.
- Interface with utility folks and construction teams – you'll be the one keeping things on track and shockingly efficient.
- Please prepare designs, drawings, and redlines with accuracy that even the engineers will applaud.
- Use tools like AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and BlueBeam to bring your designs to life and keep the lights on.
- Stay updated with local regulations, construction standards, and best practices because compliance is key!
- Work those 40 hours (with some sweet overtime potential).
- And, of course, tackle additional responsibilities like the true team player you are.
What You Bring to the Table:
- At least 5 years of experience in Electrical Utility Distribution Design, Transmission Design, or Engineering.
- A working knowledge of engineering software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, and more acronyms than you can shake a pole at).
- Ability to read tech specs like they're the Sunday paper and interpret engineering calculations with ease.
- An eye for detail – because missing a decimal could turn a power pole into a Leaning Tower.
- Strong communication skills to work with everyone from engineers to field crews.
- And, of course, the ability to draft like a pro using industry tools.
What You'll Get (Besides Bragging Rights):
- Comprehensive health insurance (because we care about your health as much as your designs).
- Retirement plan with matching (start planning those beach-front powerlines).
- Paid holidays and vacation – unplug and relax!
- Discounts on amusement parks (roller coasters are a bit like power grids, right?) and more!
