Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Client: Hotel Industry
Location: Addison, TX (Hybrid - up to 2 days per week in the office)
Employment Type: Contract (20 weeks, with potential extension to end of 2025)
Job Summary: We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. You will document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to align with overall business strategies. This role is a backfill for a team member who converted to full-time and will work under immediate supervision, typically reporting to a manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
- Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Assist with the management of inventory, primarily related to hotel team members and corporate team members.
- Work with the internal site team to manage and add new capabilities to the site.
- Develop and enhance three primary products on the website, including adding additional room attributes and a centralized Tax and Fee Service.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner for intake, and work with researchers, designers, and the development team.
- Ensure users can access the website, relying on the Core team to handle backend operations.
- Translate technical requirements into user stories for the Prodigy application.
- Draft accurate and appropriate user stories, detailing how functionality will work for the user.
- Conduct requirements gathering, user story gathering, process flow diagrams, and set/run meetings.
- Utilize Jira and Confluence extensively for project management and documentation.
- Participate in five meetings per week and follow up with various teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Experience with requirements gathering.
- Familiarity with APIs to translate into technical requirements.
- Heavy experience with Jira and Confluence.
- At least an associate's degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience.
- Experience with hotel systems or working in the hotel industry.
- Local to Dallas, TX (preferred but not required).
Team Structure:
- Supervisor (Full-Time Employee)
- 1 Contract Employee converting to full-time
- 1 Project Manager
Interview Process:
- Initial round with manager and a team member.
- Second round with 3-4 candidates with Senior Leadership (focused on culture fit).
