Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform legal research and analysis using various resources such as Westlaw
- Assist attorney in preparing legal documents, including drafting and proofreading- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Conduct factual investigations and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients regarding case updates
- Assist in managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and maintaining deadlines
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in data entry and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using online databases
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and document formatting
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Practice Master and Worldox is preferred, but not required.
