The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for building highly performant auction-based systems, partnering with and leading a cross-functional team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, ensuring best practices in software development and system architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement in code quality, performance, and scalability.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the development team.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proven experience in designing and developing high-performance auction-based systems.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, Java, or similar.
- Expertise in system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine learning and data analytics.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with call center technologies and CRM systems
