Vaco is hiring for a Logistics Account Executive opportunity in Jacksonville FL. This is an onsite role.
Overview: As Logistics Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our customer base, coordinating freight movements, and ensuring timely delivery of shipments. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or related fields who want the flexibility of working independently while leveraging the support of a strong corporate team.
Key Responsibilities:- Actively prospect for new business opportunities, build relationships with shippers and customers, and grow your client portfolio.
- Manage the full lifecycle of shipments, including quoting, booking, and tracking freight; negotiate rates with carriers to ensure profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a network of carriers to ensure capacity and reliability.
- Provide top-tier service by addressing client concerns, resolving shipment issues, and ensuring the successful completion of freight deliveries.
- Ensure adherence to all industry regulations and company policies, including proper documentation and safety standards.
- Provide regular updates on shipment status, financial performance, and other key metrics to management.
Qualifications:- Proven experience in freight brokerage, 3PL sales, or logistics operations (2+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including freight modes such as FTL, LTL, and intermodal.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
- Established book of business (preferred but not required).
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, commission-based environment.
