We are seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer with 7-10 years in the LNG, refinery, or chemical plant sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on instrumentation (75%) with some electrical experience (25%) and will possess the following skills:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field walkdowns and physical asset verification of plant equipment and piping.
- Perform valve, instrument, and equipment tagging in the field.
- Prepare redlines and as-built drawings (P&ID, layouts, vendor drawings).
- Ensure quality checks on engineering drawings and implement changes.
- Collaborate with customers to understand and meet their requirements.
- Customize specification and loop drawing templates.
- Coordinate with drafting teams to update drawings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of field work experience.
- Proficient in reading P&IDs, piping layouts, and process flow diagrams.
- Familiarity with various field instruments and I/O allocation.
- Strong knowledge of data import/export using Excel and MS Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to work on-site and in remote locations.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in refinery or chemical plant settings
