Title: MANUFACTURING Regulatory Affairs Specialist (hybrid)
Location: Bessmer City, NC
SUMMARY
PIGMENT RAW MATERIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. MUST HAVE CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE AND MANUFACTURING. As a member of the Quality and Laboratory teams, you will directly contribute to the success of our business by enabling the launch of new products into our markets and ensuring product compliance. You will interact directly with regulatory agencies, Vendors, and collaborate with internal colleagues such as marketing, technical, R&D, and others. In addition, the following will be completed: SDS (safety data sheets), TDS (technical data sheets) and COA (certificates of analysis).
Responsibilities:
- Proof Incoming SDS/TDS documents are received from vendors and in correspond with corporate standards
- Make sure regulatory standards are followed when adding new Raw-materials, pigments
- Screen and verify every new sale order in company ERP system is with in regulatory standards
- Produce Safety Data Sheet Technical Data Sheet, and Certificate of Analysis for all goods sold.
- Contact Suppliers for supplemental Documentation when needed (such as Coneg, FDA, absence declarations etc.)
- Produce regulatory statement when needed for specific applications and/or specific markets (Such as Proposition 65, Coneg and FDA Statements)
- Successfully communicating across regions and functions, you will provide clarity on new substance notification strategies, data requirements, statuses and timelines.
- Translating complex regulations into easily understandable information, you will support the education, training and proactive advisement of customers and internal colleagues.
- Respond to customer and other external requests related to product declarations, certifications, and hazard classification.
- Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and industry trends to advise business units on portfolio impact and opportunities.
- Coordinate with third-party consultants, as needed, to enable compliance with global regulations.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience or interest in acquiring regulatory knowledge and developing competency with respect to global regulations governing chemical management, chemical hazard communication, chemical use, dangerous goods transportation, and banned/ restricted substances.
- The ability to learn new tasks quickly, multitask and prioritize work
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- BS Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bio-Chemistry or related technical field with strong chemistry knowledge
- 1-2 years of relevant product stewardship or chemical regulatory work experience
