The Seminole Tribe of Florida is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Director of Real Estate to oversee and coordinate the operations of our Real Estate Department. This key leadership position involves complex professional and administrative work, managing Homesite Leases, Right-of-Way, Easement, and commercial property management functions.
The individual is responsible for staff management and a variety of real estate responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to easements, rights-of-way applications, commercial lease negotiation, and other general commercial property management activities. Advanced knowledge of the real estate practices, mortgage origination and servicing, service line, right-of-way and land use ordinance administration, and related activities are required.
Prior experience working with municipal governments is preferred. Must be proficient with Yardi Commercial Software. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to travel locally and nationally is required. Prior experience working with Tribal Lands is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages and databases. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Eight (8) years of progressively responsible managerial experience in real estate, including experience in commercial property management and mortgage originations.
- Driver’s License: Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Software: Must be proficient with Yardi Commercial Property Management Software.
- Master’s Degree with major course work in Real Estate, Urban planning, Business, Finance, or similarly related field is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of commercial property management and mortgage origination principles and practices.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations governing land use.
- Proficiency in supervisory principles and practices managing staff of 20.
- Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate daily business operations effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders and the community.
- Master’s Degree with major course work in Real Estate, Urban planning, Business, Finance, or similarly related field is required.
