The Principal Investigator (PI) will lead and oversee the execution of research projects, ensuring scientific rigor, compliance, and adherence to project timelines and budgets. The PI is responsible for designing, managing, and conducting high-quality research, acquiring funding, and leading a research team. This position requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of the subject matter, and experience in securing grants and research funding.
Must be MD, licensed to practice in Connecticut, board certified in a specialist therapeutic area (Endocrinologist, Nephrologist, Neurologist, Infectious Disease, Rheumatologist, Gastroenterologist, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine)

- Research Design & Development:

- Publications & Dissemination:
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and other relevant forums.

- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, funding agency regulations, and ethical guidelines for research.
- Obtain necessary approvals (e.g., Institutional Review Board (IRB) or ethics committees) and ensure that all projects follow appropriate legal and ethical protocols.
- Grant Acquisition & Management:
- Lead efforts to secure funding through grants, partnerships, and other financial resources.
- Manage awarded grants, including financial oversight, reporting, and communication with funding bodies.
- Collaborations & Networking:
- Build and maintain collaborations with academic, industry, and governmental partners.
- Represent the research program at national and international meetings and conferences.
- Develop partnerships that advance the research goals and contribute to the long-term success of the projects.
